۞ إِنَّ شَرَّ ٱلدَّوَآبِّ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلصُّمُّ ٱلْبُكْمُ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ
'inna sharra ddawābbi ʻinda -llahi ṣṣummu l-buk'mu -lladhīna lā yaʻ'qilūna
For the worst of beasts in the sight of Allah are the deaf and the dumb,- those who understand not.

The worst of creatures in Allah's sight are those who make themselves deaf and dumb to the truth and refuse to use their minds.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Why did Allah give us minds?"
Holy Qur'an has a short Al-Anfal clip of Mishary Alafasy reciting ayat 21–30. Play it all.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What do these people not do?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why is refusing to think so serious?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Anfal is surah 8. Find ayah 22. Allah gave people hearing, speech and minds. Those who refuse to use them for the truth waste these gifts. The ayah encourages us to think, ask and understand.
Fact: How the brain helps us learn and remember. A sign to ponder.
Ages 5–8: Think time. Ask one 'why' question about the Qur'an.
Ages 9–12: Using our gifts. Write how we can use hearing, speech and minds for good.
Finish with: "Allah wants us to ___ and understand."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will ask one question about my faith."
Action: Ask one question about your faith.
