Ask: "How does a good sleep help you face a hard day?"

Ummah Muslim posted a short recitation of ayah 11 of Al-Anfal. Listen to all of it together.

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did the rain do?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can rain be a gift before a hard day?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Anfal is surah 8. Find ayah 11. The night before Badr, Allah gave the believers peaceful sleep and sent rain. The rain let them wash, made the sandy ground firm under their feet and calmed their hearts.

Ages 5–8: Wet sand. Walk on dry sand and damp sand. Which is firmer?

Ages 9–12: Hidden gifts. Write the four gifts the rain brought.

Finish with: "The rain made their feet ___."

• Which name of Allah does this remind you of?
• What did the rain do?
• What helps you feel calm?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will sleep early before an important day."

• Rest is a gift.
• Feel wet sand.
• Rain brings blessings.
• Next time: the next ayah (8:12) speaks of angels making believers firm. Explore it together!
