…then the Fire will be their home.
Start with bismillah.
A gentle note for parents: keep this short and read ayat 40 and 41 straight after.
Ask: "How hot do you think it is deep inside the Earth?"
Watch the Colossal Cranium video "How Hot is the Center of the Earth?".
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Where will this person end up?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can I make sure I'm safe?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah An-Nazi'at is surah 79. Find ayah 39. The key words al-jahima hiya al-ma'wa mean the Fire is the home. This is the end for those who went beyond limits and loved only this world.
Fact: How hot is the Earth's core?
Ages 5–8: Earth layers. Draw the Earth like a cut peach: crust, mantle and core. Colour the core red-hot.
Ages 9–12: Lava types. Find out the difference between smooth (pahoehoe) and rough (a'a) lava.
Finish with: "I found that the Earth's core is about ___ degrees."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will make a dua every night for Allah to protect my family."
Action: Make a dua every night for Allah to protect your family.
