4-I guide
Did Allah not make the earth a place that gathers and holds?
Start with bismillah.
Dig a small hole in the garden. Ask: "What lives down here?"
Watch the SciShow Kids video Worms Are Wonderful.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What has Allah made the earth?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How much life is under my feet?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Mursalat is surah 77. Find ayah 25. The key word kifata means something that gathers and holds together. The earth holds us, our homes, water and countless creatures.
Fact: How do earthworms help the soil?
Ages 5–8: Worm watch. Gently look under a log or stone. Count the creatures you find, then put the stone back.
Ages 9–12: Soil jar. Shake soil and water in a jar. Leave it overnight. How many layers can you see?
Finish with: "I found that earthworms help soil by ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will put food scraps in a compost bin or garden."
Action: Put food scraps in a compost bin or garden.

Wash your hands after touching soil, and put creatures back gently.
