Start with bismillah.

Smell something fresh, like a mint leaf. Ask: "How does that smell make you feel?"

Watch the UF/IFAS video about the camphor tree.

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What is the drink mixed with?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What will the drinks of Jannah be like?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Insan is surah 76. Find ayah 5. The key words al-abrar mean the righteous, and kafur is camphor, known for its cool, fresh smell. The drink of Jannah is pure and unlike any drink of this world.

Fact: Where does camphor come from, and why does it smell cool?

Ages 5–8: Smell test. Smell mint, lemon and cinnamon with your eyes closed. Can you guess each one?

Ages 9–12: Plant scents. Find three trees or plants that are known for their smell.

Finish with: "I found that camphor comes from ___."

Talk together:

• Why does the good news come right after the warning?
• Which name of Allah does this remind you of?
• Who are the righteous, and what do they do?
• Why can't we fully imagine Jannah?
• What would you like to ask about this ayah?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will do one righteous deed every day."

• Do a righteous deed daily.
• Play the smell test with your family.
• Tell someone where camphor comes from.
• Next time: the next ayah (76:6) speaks of a spring that flows for Allah's servants. Explore it together!

Action: Do one righteous deed every day.
