4-I guide
Allah showed people the right way, and each one chooses to be thankful or ungrateful.
Start with bismillah.
Hide a small object and give clues to find it. Ask: "How did the clues help?"
Watch the Owlkids video How does a compass work?
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What two choices are there?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How do I know which way is right?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Insan is surah 76. Find ayah 3. The key words hadaynahu as-sabil mean We guided him to the way, and shakiran wa imma kafura mean either grateful or ungrateful. Allah shows the way, and we choose.
Fact: Why does a compass needle always point north?
Ages 5–8: Thankful or not? Act out two short scenes: someone who says thank you, and someone who doesn't. How do they feel different?
Ages 9–12: Make a compass. Rub a needle with a magnet, push it through a cork, and float it in water. Which way does it point?
Finish with: "I found that a compass points north because ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will write down three things I'm grateful for each night."
Action: Write down three things you're grateful for each night.

Ask an adult to help with the needle and magnet.
