Start with bismillah.

Ask: "Have you ever picked fruit straight from a tree?"

Watch the Boxlapse video of a date seed sprouting over three years in a pot. (It has music.)

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "How close is the fruit?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why will the fruit be so easy to reach?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Insan is surah 76. Find ayah 14. The key words daniyatan 'alayhim zilaluha mean its shade close over them, and dhullilat qutufuha means its fruit clusters lowered within reach. On Earth, a date palm takes years to give fruit and climbing is hard. In Jannah, it is easy.

Fact: How many years does a date palm take to give its first fruit?

Ages 5–8: Plant a seed. Plant a date seed in a pot. Water it and watch.

Ages 9–12: Fruit trees. Find how tall three fruit trees grow and how people pick their fruit.

Finish with: "I found that a date palm gives fruit after ___ years."

Talk together:

• Why does Allah describe Jannah with shade and fruit?
• Which name of Allah does this remind you of?
• What makes work feel easy or hard?
• How can we make things easier for others?
• What would you like to ask about this ayah?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will make one job easier for someone at home."

• Plant a date seed.
• Tell someone how long date palms take to fruit.
• Next time: the next ayah (76:15) speaks of silver and crystal cups. Explore it together!

Action: Make a job easier for someone.
