Qul' 'innī lā 'am'liku lakum' ḍarran walā rashadan

Say: I have no power to bring you harm or to guide you aright.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Can we make a seed grow by pulling on it?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What does the Prophet say he has no power to do?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Who really guides people's hearts?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Jinn is surah 72. Find ayah 21. The key words la amliku lakum darran wa la rashada mean I have no power to harm you or guide you. Even the Prophet could only share the message; guidance comes from Allah. A gardener gives water and sunlight, but only Allah makes the seed grow.
Fact: What four things does a plant need to grow?
Ages 5–8: Seed care. Plant a seed. Give it water and light, and watch it every day.
Ages 9–12: Plant needs. Test plants with and without light. What happens after a week?
Finish with: "I found that plants need ___ to grow."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will make dua for a friend to be guided and happy."
Action: Make dua for a friend to be guided and happy.
