قَالَ يَٰقَوْمِ لَيْسَ بِى سَفَاهَةٌۭ وَلَٰكِنِّى رَسُولٌۭ مِّن رَّبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
Qāla yāqaw'mi lay'sa bī safāhatun walākinnī rassūlun mmin rrabbi l-ʻālamīna
He said: "O my people! I am no imbecile, but (I am) a messenger from the Lord and Cherisher of the worlds!

Hud told his people there was nothing foolish about him; he was a messenger sent by the Lord of all the worlds.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How do you keep calm when called names?"
Abdul Basit recites Al-A'raf on Qari Abdul Basit Abdul Samad. A few minutes is plenty.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did Hud say about himself?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How did Hud stay calm?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-A'raf is surah 7. Find ayah 67. Like Nuh, Hud answered calmly, without insults. He knew who he was: a messenger of Allah.
Fact: Compare 7:61 and 7:67: the replies of Nuh and Hud.
Ages 5–8: Know yourself. Say 'I am a Muslim and I try my best' with confidence.
Ages 9–12: Compare replies. Write how Nuh's and Hud's replies match.
Finish with: "Hud said there was no ___ in him."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will be confident and kind."
Action: Be confident and kind.
