فَدَلَّىٰهُمَا بِغُرُورٍۢ ۚ فَلَمَّا ذَاقَا ٱلشَّجَرَةَ بَدَتْ لَهُمَا سَوْءَٰتُهُمَا وَطَفِقَا يَخْصِفَانِ عَلَيْهِمَا مِن وَرَقِ ٱلْجَنَّةِ ۖ وَنَادَىٰهُمَا رَبُّهُمَآ أَلَمْ أَنْهَكُمَا عَن تِلْكُمَا ٱلشَّجَرَةِ وَأَقُل لَّكُمَآ إِنَّ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنَ لَكُمَا عَدُوٌّۭ مُّبِينٌۭ
How to read it
Fadallāhumā bighurūrin . falammā dhāqā shshajarata badat' lahumā saw''ātuhumā waṭafiqā yakh'ṣifāni ʻalay'himā min waraqi l-jannati . wanādāhumā rabbuhumā 'alam' 'an'hakumā ʻan til'kumā shshajarati wa'aqul llakumā 'inna shshay'ṭāna lakumā ʻaduwun mmubīnun
So by deceit he brought about their fall: when they tasted of the tree, their shame became manifest to them, and they began to sew together the leaves of the garden over their bodies. And their Lord called unto them: "Did I not forbid you that tree, and tell you that Satan was an avowed enemy unto you?"
