وَٱتْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ نَبَأَ ٱلَّذِىٓ ءَاتَيْنَٰهُ ءَايَٰتِنَا فَٱنسَلَخَ مِنْهَا فَأَتْبَعَهُ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ فَكَانَ مِنَ ٱلْغَاوِينَ
Wa -t'lu ʻalay'him' naba'a -lladhī 'ātay'nāhu 'āyātinā fa-nsalakha min'hā fa'at'baʻahu shshay'ṭānu fakāna mina l-ghāwīna
Relate to them the story of the man to whom We sent Our signs, but he passed them by: so Satan followed him up, and he went astray.

Tell them about the man to whom Allah gave His signs, but he slipped away from them, so Shaytan followed him and he became one of those who went astray.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Can someone who knows a lot still go astray?"
Listen together as Mishary Alafasy recites ayat 171–178 of Al-A'raf, a short clip shared by MZG.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What happened when he slipped away?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why does knowledge need action?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-A'raf is surah 7. Find ayah 175. This man had knowledge but threw it away for worldly desires. Shaytan then led him astray. Knowledge must be lived, not just known.
Fact: Find As-Saff 61:2–3: why say what you do not do?
Ages 5–8: Do what you know. Do one good thing you already know.
Ages 9–12: Knowledge and action. Write why knowledge needs action.
Finish with: "Why say what you do not ___?"
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will act on one thing I already know."
Action: Act on one thing you already know.
