Juz 9 · Page 173أَوْ تَقُولُوٓا۟ إِنَّمَآ أَشْرَكَ ءَابَآؤُنَا مِن قَبْلُ وَكُنَّا ذُرِّيَّةًۭ مِّنۢ بَعْدِهِمْ ۖ أَفَتُهْلِكُنَا بِمَا فَعَلَ ٱلْمُبْطِلُونَ
How to read it
'Aw' taqūlū 'innamā 'ash'raka 'ābā'unā min qab'lu wakunnā dhurriyyatan mmin[m] baʻ'dihim' . 'afatuh'likunā bimā faʻala l-mub'ṭilūna
Or lest ye should say: "Our fathers before us may have taken false gods, but we are (their) descendants after them: wilt Thou then destroy us because of the deeds of men who were futile?"
