Ask: "What happens when people make up their own gods?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What will those who took the calf face?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why is making up gods so serious?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-A'raf is surah 7. Find ayah 152. This ayah warns, calmly, of the result of worshipping the calf. Making up gods is a serious wrong. The next ayah shows the door of tawbah is open.

Fact: Find the next ayah, 7:153, the promise of forgiveness.

Ages 5–8: Hope after. Read 7:153 together.

Ages 9–12: Warning and hope. Write how 7:152–153 go together.

Finish with: "The promise of forgiveness is in 7:___."

Talk together:
