They said, 'To our Lord we will surely return.'
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Why weren't the believers afraid?"
For a few quiet minutes, listen to Muhammad Siddiq Al-Minshawi reciting Al-A'raf, shared by Door to Deen.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Where did they say they would return?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How does remembering we return to Allah give courage?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-A'raf is surah 7. Find ayah 125. The new believers weren't scared. They knew that whatever happened, they would return to Allah, which was the greatest place to go.
Fact: The phrase 'inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un'.
Ages 5–8: Return to Allah. Learn 'inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un'.
Ages 9–12: Courage. Write how this belief gave them courage.
Finish with: "Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will learn the meaning of inna lillahi."
Action: Learn the meaning of inna lillahi.
