خَٰشِعَةً أَبْصَٰرُهُمْ تَرْهَقُهُمْ ذِلَّةٌۭ ۖ وَقَدْ كَانُوا۟ يُدْعَوْنَ إِلَى ٱلسُّجُودِ وَهُمْ سَٰلِمُونَ
Khāshiʻatan 'ab'ṣāruhum' tar'haquhum' dhillatun . waqad' kānū yud'ʻaw'na 'ilā ssujūdi wahum' sālimūna
Their eyes will be cast down,- ignominy will cover them; seeing that they had been summoned aforetime to bow in adoration, while they were whole, (and had refused).

Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What do you do each day to stay healthy?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "When had they been called to prostrate?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can I use my health well?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Qalam is surah 68. Find ayah 43. The key words wa hum salimun mean while they were healthy and sound. Health is a gift and a chance. They had strong bodies and could have prayed, but they chose not to. We can use our health now for good.
Fact: How many hours of sleep do children need each night?
Ages 5–8: Health chart. Draw five healthy things you do (sleep, water, fruit, play, wash).
Ages 9–12: Health plan. Make a one-week plan for sleep, food and exercise.
Finish with: "I found that children need about ___ hours of sleep."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will use my energy to help someone at home."
Action: Use your energy to help someone at home.
