4-I guide
Blessed is Allah, who holds all kingship in His hand and has power over everything.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Scientists sort living things into kingdoms. How many do you think there are?"
Watch the Learn Easy Science video 5 Kingdoms.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What is in Allah's hand?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "If Allah owns everything, what does that mean for me?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Mulk is surah 67, and it has thirty ayat. Find ayah 1. The surah is named after al-mulk, which means kingship or dominion. Scientists talk about the animal kingdom, the plant kingdom and the fungi kingdom, but every one of them belongs to Allah, the true King.
Fact: What are the five kingdoms of living things?
Ages 5–8: Kingdom sort. Cut out pictures of living things and sort them into animals, plants and fungi.
Ages 9–12: Kingdom chart. Make a chart of the five kingdoms with two examples each.
Finish with: "I found that the five kingdoms are ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will look after one of Allah's creatures."
Action: Look after one of Allah's creatures.
