Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What happened to their hearts?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can I keep my heart open to good?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Munafiqun is surah 63. Find ayah 3. The key words fa-tubi'a 'ala qulubihim mean so a seal was put on their hearts. When people keep choosing the wrong way, it becomes a habit, like a path worn into grass. Good habits keep our hearts open to Allah.

Fact: What are the three parts of a habit loop?

Ages 5–8: Good path. Choose one good habit and do it every day this week. Tick a chart.

Ages 9–12: Habit loop. Draw the habit loop (cue, routine, reward) for one of your habits.

Finish with: "I found that a habit loop has ___ parts."

Talk together:

• How do small choices become habits?
• Which name of Allah does this remind you of?
• What good habits keep our hearts soft?
• What can we do if we notice a bad habit growing?
• What would you like to ask about this ayah?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will build one good habit for my heart."

• Tick your good path chart.
• Share your habit loop.
• Next time: the next ayah (63:4) says they looked impressive but were hollow. Explore it together!
