Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did Musa ask his people?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why would people hurt someone sent to help them?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah As-Saff is surah 61. Find ayah 5. The key words lima tu'dhunani mean why do you hurt me? Prophet Musa (peace be upon him) was sent to guide his people, yet some hurt him with their words and actions. Teachers who guide us deserve respect, even when their lessons are hard.

Fact: What are three ways to show respect to a teacher?

Ages 5–8: Thank-you note. Make a card for a teacher who helps you.

Ages 9–12: Respect in action. Write how respect looks in class, at home and at the mosque.

Finish with: "I found that we show respect by ___."

Talk together:

• Which name of Allah does this remind you of?
• How can we show respect to our teachers?
• What happens to hearts that keep turning away?
• What would you like to ask about this ayah?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will thank a teacher for helping me."
