إِنِّى وَجَّهْتُ وَجْهِىَ لِلَّذِى فَطَرَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ حَنِيفًۭا ۖ وَمَآ أَنَا۠ مِنَ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ
'Innī wajjah'tu waj'hiya lilladhī faṭara ssamāwāti wal-'ar'ḍa ḥanīfan . wamā 'anā mina l-mush'rikīna
"For me, I have set my face, firmly and truly, towards Him Who created the heavens and the earth, and never shall I give partners to Allah."

Ibrahim declared that he had turned his whole self, sincerely, to the One who made the heavens and earth, and he would never associate anyone with Him.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What does it mean to turn your face to something?"
Holy Qur'an-القرآن الكريم has a short Al-An'am clip of Mishary Alafasy reciting ayat 71–80. Play it all.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "To whom did Ibrahim turn?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What does 'sincerely' mean here?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-An'am is surah 6. Find ayah 79. Many Muslims say these words at the start of salah. They mean giving our whole attention and heart to Allah alone.
Fact: The opening du'a 'Wajjahtu wajhiya…', said by many at the start of salah.
Ages 5–8: Face the qiblah. Practise facing the qiblah and saying Allahu akbar.
Ages 9–12: Sincerity. Write what sincerity in worship means.
Finish with: "Ibrahim turned his face to the ___ of the heavens and earth."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will start salah by remembering who I'm facing."
Action: Start salah by remembering who you're facing.
