فَلَمَّا جَنَّ عَلَيْهِ ٱلَّيْلُ رَءَا كَوْكَبًۭا ۖ قَالَ هَٰذَا رَبِّى ۖ فَلَمَّآ أَفَلَ قَالَ لَآ أُحِبُّ ٱلْءَافِلِينَ
Falammā janna ʻalay'hi -llay'lu ra'ā kaw'kaban . qāla hādhā rabbī . falammā 'afala qāla lā 'uḥibbu l-'āfilīna
When the night covered him over, He saw a star: He said: "This is my Lord." But when it set, He said: "I love not those that set."

When night came, Ibrahim, reasoning with his people, pointed to a star and said 'Is this my Lord?'; when it set, he said he did not love things that disappear.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Would you worship something that disappears?"
A short clip on USRAH ILMU STUDIO recites ayat 74–81 of Al-An'am. Play the whole clip.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What happened to the star?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why can't something that sets be God?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-An'am is surah 6. Find ayah 76. Ibrahim was reasoning with his people, who worshipped stars. He showed that anything that sets and disappears cannot be the Lord. Allah never fades.
Fact: What Venus is often called? The evening star, though it is a planet.
Ages 5–8: Star watch. Find the first star at night, then notice it moves.
Ages 9–12: Reasoning. Write Ibrahim's argument in your own words.
Finish with: "Ibrahim did not love things that ___."
Talk together:
