وَمَا تَأْتِيهِم مِّنْ ءَايَةٍۢ مِّنْ ءَايَٰتِ رَبِّهِمْ إِلَّا كَانُوا۟ عَنْهَا مُعْرِضِينَ
Wa mā ta''tīhim mmin' 'āyatin mmin' 'āyāti rabbihim' 'illā kānū ʻan'hā muʻ'riḍīna
But never did a single one of the signs of their Lord reach them, but they turned away therefrom.

Whenever a sign from their Lord came to them, they simply turned away from it.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Have you ever looked away when someone was showing you something important?"
For a few quiet minutes, listen to a reciter reciting Al-An'am, shared by NgajiBareng04.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did they do when signs came?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why would someone turn away from a sign of Allah?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-An'am is surah 6. Find ayah 4. Signs of Allah are everywhere: in nature, in the Qur'an and in our own bodies. Some people ignore them because of pride or habit. Believers try to notice and think.
Fact: Yusuf 12:105 says people pass by many signs in the heavens and earth and turn away.
Ages 5–8: Sign spotting. Go outside and name three signs of Allah.
Ages 9–12: Why turn away? Write two reasons people ignore signs and how to avoid them.
Finish with: "Signs are in nature, the Qur'an and ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will stop once a day and notice one sign of Allah."
Action: Stop once a day and notice one sign of Allah.
