أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى ٱلَّذِينَ نُهُوا۟ عَنِ ٱلنَّجْوَىٰ ثُمَّ يَعُودُونَ لِمَا نُهُوا۟ عَنْهُ وَيَتَنَٰجَوْنَ بِٱلْإِثْمِ وَٱلْعُدْوَٰنِ وَمَعْصِيَتِ ٱلرَّسُولِ وَإِذَا جَآءُوكَ حَيَّوْكَ بِمَا لَمْ يُحَيِّكَ بِهِ ٱللَّهُ وَيَقُولُونَ فِىٓ أَنفُسِهِمْ لَوْلَا يُعَذِّبُنَا ٱللَّهُ بِمَا نَقُولُ ۚ حَسْبُهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ يَصْلَوْنَهَا ۖ فَبِئْسَ ٱلْمَصِيرُ
How to read it
'Alam' tara 'ilā-lladhīna nuhū ʻani nnaj'wā thumma yaʻūdūna limā nuhū ʻan'hu wayatanājaw'na bil-'ith'mi wal-ʻud'wāni wamaʻ'ṣiyati rrassūli wa'idhā jā'ūka ḥayyaw'ka bimā lam' yuḥayyika bihi -llahu wayaqūlūna fī 'anfussihim' law'lā yuʻadhdhibunā -llahu bimā naqūlu . ḥas'buhum' jahannamu yaṣ'law'nahā . fabi''sa l-maṣīru
Turnest thou not thy sight towards those who were forbidden secret counsels yet revert to that which they were forbidden (to do)? And they hold secret counsels among themselves for iniquity and hostility, and disobedience to the Messenger. And when they come to thee, they salute thee, not as Allah salutes thee, (but in crooked ways): And they say to themselves, "Why does not Allah punish us for our words?" Enough for them is Hell: In it will they burn, and evil is that destination!
