لَّن تُغْنِىَ عَنْهُمْ أَمْوَٰلُهُمْ وَلَآ أَوْلَٰدُهُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ شَيْـًٔا ۚ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلنَّارِ ۖ هُمْ فِيهَا خَٰلِدُونَ
Llan tugh'niya ʻan'hum' 'am'wāluhum' walā 'aw'lāduhum mmina -llahi shay''an . 'ūlā'ika 'aṣ'ḥābu nnāri . hum' fīhā khālidūna
Of no profit whatever to them, against Allah, will be their riches nor their sons: they will be Companions of the Fire, to dwell therein (for aye)!

Their wealth and children will not help them at all against Allah; they are the people of the Fire, staying there forever.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Would you want everything you touched to turn to gold?"
Watch the Puddle Jumper video King Midas and his Golden Touch.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What will not help them?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What really matters more than gold?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Mujadilah is surah 58. Find ayah 17. The key words lan tughniya 'anhum mean will not benefit them. Some trusted their money and big families instead of Allah. In the story, gold couldn't feed King Midas or hug his child. Only faith and good deeds help us with Allah.
Fact: What is the lesson of King Midas?
Ages 5–8: Better than gold. Draw five things more precious than gold.
Ages 9–12: True treasure. Write what you'd keep if you could only keep three things.
Finish with: "I found that King Midas learned ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will use something I own to help someone."
Action: Use something you own to help someone.
