No reflections for this ayah yet. Be the first, by reflecting with the 4-I journey below!
4-I guide
This is the truth that leaves no doubt at all.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Could you show the Earth is round without going into space?"
Watch the Mystery Science video How do we know the Earth is round?
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "How does Allah describe everything in this surah?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can I become more certain of my faith?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Waqi'ah is surah 56. Find ayah 95. The key words haqq al-yaqin mean the certain truth. People once argued about the shape of the Earth, until the clues made it certain. Everything in this surah, from the three groups to the signs of seeds, water and fire, is true beyond doubt.
Fact: What clues showed people long ago that the Earth is round?
Ages 5–8: Disappearing ship. Slide a toy boat over the top of a ball and watch it disappear from the bottom up.
Ages 9–12: Shadow clue. Find out how Eratosthenes used shadows to measure the Earth.
Finish with: "I found that people knew the Earth is round because ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will think about one sign of Allah each day."
Action: Think about one sign of Allah each day.
