Opening the ayah…
وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْتُمُ ٱلنَّشْأَةَ ٱلْأُولَىٰ فَلَوْلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ
Wa laqad' ʻalim'tumu nnash''ata l-'ūlā falaw'lā tadhakkarūna
And ye certainly know already the first form of creation: why then do ye not celebrate His praises?
Translation: Abdullah Yusuf Ali

4-I guide
You already know how you were first made, so why don't you reflect?
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How does your body grow taller?"
Watch the Wonder Why Lab video How Do Our Bodies Grow?
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What do we already know, according to this ayah?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "If Allah made me grow once, what else can He do?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Waqi'ah is surah 56. Find ayah 62. The key words an-nash'at al-ula mean the first creation. We have seen babies grow into children and children into adults. If Allah made us the first time, making us again is no harder. The ayah asks us to stop and think.
Fact: About how many centimetres do children grow in a year?
Ages 5–8: Height mark. Ask an adult to mark your height on a door frame with today's date.
Ages 9–12: Then and now. Compare a baby photo of yourself with now and list five changes.
Finish with: "I found that children grow about ___ centimetres a year."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will thank someone who helped me grow."
Action: Thank someone who helped you grow.
