4-I guide
Then you who strayed and called the truth a lie...
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How can a compass help you if you are lost?"
Watch the MRCA Parks video Compass 101. (It has music.)
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Who is this ayah speaking to?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What guides us when we feel lost?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Waqi'ah is surah 56. Find ayah 51. The key words ad-dallun al-mukadhdhibun mean those who went astray and denied. A compass always points north, so a hiker can find the way home. Allah gave us the Quran and His messengers to guide us, and those who ignored that guidance lost their way.
Fact: Why does a compass needle always point north?
Ages 5–8: Find north. With an adult, use the morning sun to work out which way is east and which is north.
Ages 9–12: Compass walk. Use a compass or a phone compass to walk ten steps north, then ten steps east.
Finish with: "I found that a compass points north because ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will read or listen to a little Quran each day as my compass."
Action: Read or listen to a little Quran each day as your compass.
