4-I guide
They are like pearls kept safe in their shells.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How does an oyster turn a speck of sand into a shining pearl?"
Watch the TED-Ed video How do oysters make pearls? (It has music.)
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What are the companions compared to?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why are hidden pearls so precious?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Waqi'ah is surah 56. Find ayah 23. The key words lu'lu' maknun mean pearls that are kept hidden. A pearl kept safe inside its shell stays clean, smooth and shining. Something precious is protected. We protect precious things too, like our hearts, our words and our good name.
Fact: How long does it take an oyster to make a pearl?
Ages 5–8: Treasure shell. Hide a marble inside two bowls and talk about why we keep treasures safe.
Ages 9–12: Kept safe. Write three precious things in your life and how you protect each one.
Finish with: "I found that a pearl takes about ___ to form."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will protect my tongue from unkind words."
Action: Protect your tongue from unkind words.
