Then which of your Lord's blessings will you both reject?
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What makes fruit taste sweet?"
Watch the Eat Happy Project video What makes fruit sweet?
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What blessing does the fruit of Jannah remind us of now?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why did Allah make healthy food taste so good?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ar-Rahman is surah 55. Find ayah 53. The key word ala' means blessings. As fruit ripens, the plant turns starch into sugar, so the fruit becomes sweet and soft. Allah made healthy food delicious so that eating it brings joy.
Fact: What happens inside a fruit as it ripens?
Ages 5–8: Ripe or not. Taste a green banana and a ripe banana. What changed?
Ages 9–12: Sweetness scale. Rank five fruits from least to most sweet, then check which has the most sugar.
Finish with: "I found that as fruit ripens, ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will choose fruit for one snack every day."
Action: Choose fruit for one snack every day.
