أَكُفَّارُكُمْ خَيْرٌۭ مِّنْ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكُمْ أَمْ لَكُم بَرَآءَةٌۭ فِى ٱلزُّبُرِ
'Akuffārukum' khay'run mmin' 'ūlā'ikum' 'am' lakum barā'atun fī zzuburi
Are your Unbelievers, (O Quraish), better than they? Or have ye an immunity in the Sacred Books?

Are your deniers any better than those, or do you have a promise of safety in the scriptures?
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Why do rules apply to everyone?"
Watch the Learn Bright video Laws and Rules for Kids.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What question is asked of the deniers in Makkah?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Does anyone get a free pass with Allah?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Qamar is surah 54. Find ayah 43. The key word bara'ah means a promise of safety, a free pass. The surah turns to the people of Makkah who were denying the Prophet: were they better than Nuh's or Pharaoh's people? Did they have a special pass? No one does. Allah's justice is the same for everyone.
Fact: What is the difference between a rule and a law?
Ages 5–8: Fair rules. Make three family rules that are fair for everyone, grown-ups too.
Ages 9–12: Same for all. Write why a game is spoiled if one player doesn't have to follow the rules.
Finish with: "I found that a rule is ___ and a law is ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will follow rules even when I think I could get away with breaking them."
Action: Follow rules even when unseen.
