فَأَقْبَلَتِ ٱمْرَأَتُهُۥ فِى صَرَّةٍۢ فَصَكَّتْ وَجْهَهَا وَقَالَتْ عَجُوزٌ عَقِيمٌۭ
Fa'aq'balati (i)m'ra'atuhu fī ṣarratin faṣakkat' waj'hahā waqālat' ʻajūzun ʻaqīmun
But his wife came forward (laughing) aloud: she smote her forehead and said: "A barren old woman!"

Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Why should we be gentle and respectful with older people?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Why was Ibrahim's wife so amazed?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Is anything too hard for Allah?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Adh-Dhariyat is surah 51. Find ayah 29. The key word sarratin means a loud cry of surprise. Ibrahim's wife was old and had never had children, so the news amazed her. Nothing is too hard for Allah. Her surprise reminds us that Allah can give gifts in ways we never expect.
Fact: What is one skill or story your grandparents can teach you?
Ages 5–8: Grandparent card. Make a card for a grandparent or an older person you love.
Ages 9–12: Elder interview. Ask an elder what surprised them most in their life.
Finish with: "I found that my grandparent can teach me ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will call or visit a grandparent or older neighbour."
