Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can I notice someone who needs help but stays quiet?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Adh-Dhariyat is surah 51. Find ayah 19. The key word haqq means a right. The believers saw a share of their money as belonging to people in need, both those who ask and those who are too shy to ask. Sadaqah can be money, food, time or even a smile.

Fact: What are three kinds of sadaqah that cost no money?

Ages 5–8: Sadaqah jar. Decorate a jar and add a coin or a good deed note each day.

Ages 9–12: Quiet helper. Think of someone who might need help but won't ask, and plan a kind surprise.

Finish with: "I found that sadaqah without money can be ___."

Talk together:

• How can we notice people who don't ask?
• What can you give that isn't money?
