Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What does the earth do on that Day?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How is a seed breaking through soil like the Day of Resurrection?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Qaf is surah 50. Find ayah 44. The key word yasir means easy. A tiny seed cracks the soil and pushes up towards the light. Allah says the earth will split open and people will come out quickly, and gathering everyone is easy for Him. It is a sign to ponder.

Fact: How long does a bean seed take to sprout?

Ages 5–8: Bean in a jar. Put a bean on wet paper in a jar and watch it sprout.

Ages 9–12: Sprout diary. Measure and draw your bean sprout every day for a week.

Finish with: "I found that a bean takes about ___ to sprout."
