أَفَعَيِينَا بِٱلْخَلْقِ ٱلْأَوَّلِ ۚ بَلْ هُمْ فِى لَبْسٍۢ مِّنْ خَلْقٍۢ جَدِيدٍۢ
'Afaʻayīnā bil-khal'qi l-'awwali . bal' hum' fī lab'sin mmin' khal'qin jadīdin
Were We then weary with the first Creation, that they should be in confused doubt about a new Creation?

Creating the first time did not tire Us, yet they still doubt a fresh creation.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Did you know some animals can grow back a lost body part?"
Watch the TED-Ed video How do animals regrow their limbs?
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did the doubters doubt?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "If a starfish can regrow an arm, what can Allah do?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Qaf is surah 50. Find ayah 15. The key word 'ayina means were We tired out. Allah created everything from nothing without tiring. Creating again is no harder for Him. Even in nature, salamanders and starfish regrow lost parts. It is a sign to ponder.
Fact: Which animal can regrow its legs, tail and even parts of its heart?
Ages 5–8: Regrow it. Put the bottom of a spring onion in water and watch it grow back.
Ages 9–12: Regrowers. Make a chart of three animals that can regrow body parts.
Finish with: "I found that the ___ can regrow its legs and tail."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will regrow a vegetable scrap and watch it each day."
Action: Regrow a vegetable scrap and watch it each day.
