وَإِذَا نَادَيْتُمْ إِلَى ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ ٱتَّخَذُوهَا هُزُوًۭا وَلَعِبًۭا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌۭ لَّا يَعْقِلُونَ
Wa 'idhā nāday'tum' 'ilā ṣṣalāti (i)ttakhadhūhā huzuwan walaʻiban . dhālika bi'annahum' qaw'mun llā yaʻ'qilūna
When ye proclaim your call to prayer they take it (but) as mockery and sport; that is because they are a people without understanding.

When believers called to prayer, some people mocked it and treated it as a game, because they did not understand.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What does the adhan mean to you?"
Play the short clip from Holy Qur'an-القرآن الكريم of Mishary Alafasy reciting ayat 51–60 of Al-Ma'idah.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did some mock?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why does lack of understanding lead to mockery?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Ma'idah is surah 5. Find ayah 58. This is one of the few places the Qur'an mentions the adhan. People mock what they don't understand. Believers answer with patience and explain kindly.
Fact: Who was the first mu'adhdhin of Islam? Bilal ibn Rabah.
Ages 5–8: Adhan answer. Learn to repeat the words of the adhan.
Ages 9–12: Explaining kindly. Write how you'd explain the adhan to a curious friend.
Finish with: "The first mu'adhdhin was ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will stop and repeat the adhan when I hear it."
Action: Stop and repeat the adhan when you hear it.
