Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can I strive for Allah at my age?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Hujurat is surah 49. Find ayah 15. The key word jahadu means they strove, made a big effort. True believers don't just say they believe; they show it by giving their money, time and energy for Allah. For children, striving means praying on time, studying hard, helping others and giving sadaqah.

Fact: What are three ways a child can strive for Allah?

Ages 5–8: Effort stars. Give yourself a star each time you try hard at something good.

Ages 9–12: Strive plan. Choose one good goal and write the small steps to reach it.

Finish with: "I found that children can strive for Allah by ___."

Talk together:

• Why do actions show what we truly believe?
• Which name of Allah does this remind you of?
• What is something you can give for Allah?
• When have you worked really hard for something good?
• What would you like to ask about this ayah?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will give some of my time or pocket money to help others."
