إِن يَسْـَٔلْكُمُوهَا فَيُحْفِكُمْ تَبْخَلُوا۟ وَيُخْرِجْ أَضْغَٰنَكُمْ
'In yas''al'kumūhā fayuḥ'fikum' tab'khalū wayukh'rij' 'aḍ'ghānakum'
If He were to ask you for all of them, and press you, ye would covetously withhold, and He would bring out all your ill-feeling.

If He asked you for it and pressed you, you would be stingy, and He would bring your hidden resentment out.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What happens when we want to keep everything for ourselves?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What would people do if asked for all their wealth?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why is Allah so gentle in what He asks?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Muhammad is surah 47. Find ayah 37. The key word tabkhalu means you would be stingy. Allah knows us well: if He asked for everything, many of us would hold on tightly and feel upset. So He asks for only a little. Like the greedy dog who lost his bone, greed often makes us lose more.
Fact: What is the lesson of the greedy dog fable?
Ages 5–8: Share a snack. Share half of your snack with someone today.
Ages 9–12: Greed costs. Write a short story where greed causes a loss.
Finish with: "I found that the greedy dog lost ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will share something I like with a sibling or friend."
Action: Share something you like with a sibling or friend.
