وَلَا يَمْلِكُ ٱلَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِهِ ٱلشَّفَٰعَةَ إِلَّا مَن شَهِدَ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ
Wa lā yam'liku -lladhīna yad'ʻūna min dūnihi shshafāʻata 'illā man shahida bil-ḥaqqi wahum' yaʻ'lamūna
And those whom they invoke besides Allah have no power of intercession;- only he who bears witness to the Truth, and they know (him).

Those they call on besides Him have no power to intercede, except those who bear witness to the truth knowingly.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What is the shahadah?"
Watch the Zill Noorain Kids episode What is the Shahada?
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Who can intercede?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What does it mean to bear witness to the truth?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Az-Zukhruf is surah 43. Find ayah 86. The key words shahida bil-haqq mean bore witness to the truth. Idols cannot help anyone on the Day of Judgement. Only those who truly witnessed that Allah is One, and lived by it, will be allowed by Allah to speak for others. The shahadah is this witness.
Fact: What are the two parts of the shahadah?
Ages 5–8: Witness words. Learn the meaning of the shahadah in your own language.
Ages 9–12: Living the witness. Write how a person can live their shahadah every day.
Finish with: "I found that the two parts are ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will think about the meaning of the shahadah in every tashahhud."
Action: Think about the meaning of the shahadah in every tashahhud.
