4-I guide
It is sent down from the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Which two names of Allah do we say in bismillah?"
Watch the Islamic Lessons Made Easy video Al-Rahman and Al-Rahim Explained.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Where does the Quran come from?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why does Allah mention mercy when He talks about the Quran?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Fussilat is surah 41. Find ayah 2. The key word tanzil means something sent down. The Quran comes from Ar-Rahman, whose mercy covers everything, and Ar-Rahim, whose mercy reaches the believers in a special way. The Quran itself is a gift of mercy: it guides, comforts and teaches us.
Fact: Which ayah of Surah Al-Fatihah is made of these two names?
Ages 5–8: Mercy hunt. Find five things at home that show Allah's mercy, like food, water and family.
Ages 9–12: Mercy in the Quran. Find two ayat that speak about Allah's mercy and copy their meanings.
Finish with: "I found that it is ayah ___ of Al-Fatihah."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will say bismillah slowly and think about its meaning."
Action: Say bismillah slowly and think about its meaning.
