Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How do I show I submit to Allah?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ghafir is surah 40. Find ayah 66. The key word uslima means I submit, the same root as Islam and Muslim. After seeing clear signs, the Prophet was told to worship only Allah and submit to Him. Salah is one of the clearest ways we show this: we bow and prostrate to the Lord of all the worlds.

Ages 5–8: Salah steps. Act out the movements of salah slowly and name each one.

Ages 9–12: Islam means. Write what the word Islam means and how it shows in your day.

Finish with: "I found that we bow ___ times."
