Start with bismillah.

Ask: "What do you do if someone invites you to something wrong?"

Watch the Islam for Kids video Good Manners with Others.

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What were the two calls?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How do I say no kindly?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ghafir is surah 40. Find ayah 41. The key word an-najah means safety or rescue. The believer noticed something strange: he was inviting his people to safety, while they were inviting him towards harm. Every day, we hear different calls. We choose which one to answer.

Fact: What is the main job of a lifeguard at a beach?

Ages 5–8: Two doors. Draw two doors, one marked safety and one marked danger, and list what leads to each.

Ages 9–12: Saying no. Write three polite ways to say no when invited to do something wrong.

Finish with: "I found that a lifeguard's job is ___."

Talk together:

• What good calls do you hear every day?
• Which name of Allah does this remind you of?
• How can you say no politely to bad invitations?
• Who calls you towards safety?
• What would you like to ask about this ayah?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will politely say no to one thing I know is wrong."

• Say no politely.
• Draw two doors.
• Share your polite no's.
• Next time: the next ayah (40:42) shows the One who forgives again and again. Explore it together!

Action: Politely say no to one thing you know is wrong.
