وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِىٓ ءَامَنَ يَٰقَوْمِ ٱتَّبِعُونِ أَهْدِكُمْ سَبِيلَ ٱلرَّشَادِ
Wa qāla -lladhī 'āmana yāqaw'mi (i)ttabiʻūni 'ah'dikum' sabīla rrashādi
The man who believed said further: "O my people! Follow me: I will lead you to the Path of Right.

The believer said: My people, follow me and I will guide you to the path of right conduct.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Is it always good to follow what most people do?"
Watch the Short stories video Still Following Others.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Where did the believer want to lead his people?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How do I know who to follow?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ghafir is surah 40. Find ayah 38. The key words sabil ar-rashad mean the path of right guidance. Pharaoh said he guided people rightly, but the believer offered the true right path. Two leaders, two very different paths. We should follow those who lead to Allah, not those who are simply loud or powerful.
Fact: Which ayah in Surah Al-Kahf tells of young people asking Allah for right guidance?
Ages 5–8: Leader choice. Play follow the leader with a good leader and talk about what makes them good.
Ages 9–12: Two paths. Compare Pharaoh's way and the believer's way in a table.
Finish with: "I found that the ayah is Al-Kahf ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will lead my siblings or friends in one good deed."
Action: Lead your siblings or friends in one good deed.
