إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ وَهَٰمَٰنَ وَقَٰرُونَ فَقَالُوا۟ سَٰحِرٌۭ كَذَّابٌۭ
'Ilā fir'ʻaw'na wahāmāna waqārūna faqālū sāḥirun kadhdhābun
To Pharaoh, Haman, and Qarun; but they called (him)" a sorcerer telling lies!"...

Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Why might powerful or rich people reject a message?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did the three men call Musa?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why did they call him a magician?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ghafir is surah 40. Find ayah 24. The key word sahirun means a magician. Three men stood against Musa: Pharaoh, who had power; Haman, his minister, who had position; and Qarun, who had huge wealth. When they could not answer Musa's signs, they called him a liar and a magician. Power, position and wealth made them proud.
Fact: Which surah tells the full story of Qarun?
Ages 5–8: Three hats. Draw a crown, a work hat and a money bag, and talk about how each can make people proud.
Ages 9–12: Name-calling. Write why people call others names when they cannot answer them.
Finish with: "I found that Qarun's story is in Surah ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will answer unkind words calmly instead of calling names."
Action: Answer unkind words calmly instead of calling names.
