يَعْلَمُ خَآئِنَةَ ٱلْأَعْيُنِ وَمَا تُخْفِى ٱلصُّدُورُ
Yaʻ'lamu khā'inata l-'aʻ'yuni wamā tukh'fī ṣṣudūru
(Allah) knows of (the tricks) that deceive with the eyes, and all that the hearts (of men) conceal.

He knows the sly glances of the eyes and what the hearts keep hidden.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Can your eyes do wrong even when your hands do nothing?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What two hidden things does Allah know?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can I look after my eyes?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ghafir is surah 40. Find ayah 19. The key words kha'inat al-a'yun mean the sly glances of the eyes. A quick look that no one else notices is still known to Allah, and so are the secret thoughts in our hearts. Looking after our eyes means turning away from what is wrong to see, and choosing good things to look at.
Fact: Which surah tells believers to lower their gaze?
Ages 5–8: Good things to see. Make a list of beautiful things that are good for our eyes, like nature and the Quran.
Ages 9–12: Screen check. Think about what you watch and write two changes that would protect your eyes.
Finish with: "I found that the surah is ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will look away from anything I know is not good to watch."
Action: Look away from anything you know is not good to watch.
