Ask: "Why should money be earned fairly?"

Listen together to a recitation of ayah 161 (Ummah Muslim). Then guess why this guide is called 'Unfair Money'.

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What two money wrongs are named?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why is interest forbidden?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah An-Nisa' is surah 4. Find ayah 161. Riba (interest) and cheating harm the poor and make the rich richer unfairly. Islam teaches fair trade and helping those in need.

Fact: Riba means interest, money gained from lending unfairly.

Ages 5–8: Fair money. Talk about earning money honestly.

Ages 9–12: Fair dealing. Write why fair money matters.

Finish with: "Interest is called ___."

Talk together:

• What wrongs?
• Which name of Allah does this remind you of?
• Why forbidden?
• How do you handle money fairly?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will be fair in any swap or sale."

• Earn fairly.
• No interest.
• Help the poor.
• Next time: the next ayah (4:162) praises the good among them. Explore it together!
