بَشِّرِ ٱلْمُنَٰفِقِينَ بِأَنَّ لَهُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا

Bashshiri l-munāfiqīna bi'anna lahum' ʻadhāban 'alīman
To the Hypocrites give the glad tidings that there is for them (but) a grievous penalty;-

The hypocrites are given news of a painful punishment.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Why is pretending to believe so harmful?"
A recitation of ayat 131–140 can be found on MUSLIM BOOK. Listen once quietly, then talk about 'News for the Hypocrites'.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Who is warned?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why are hypocrites warned strongly?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah An-Nisa' is surah 4. Find ayah 138. This ayah mentions, in one calm line, a warning for hypocrites. Being sincere inside and out is a believer's mark.
Fact: The three signs of a hypocrite: lying, breaking promises and betraying trust (Bukhari).
Ages 5–8: Real me. Talk about being the same inside and out.
Ages 9–12: Signs. Write the three signs of hypocrisy and their opposites.
Finish with: "A hypocrite lies, breaks promises and betrays ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will keep every promise I make."
Action: Keep every promise you make.
