قِيلَ ٱدْخُلُوٓا۟ أَبْوَٰبَ جَهَنَّمَ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا ۖ فَبِئْسَ مَثْوَى ٱلْمُتَكَبِّرِينَ
Qīla (u)d'khulū 'ab'wāba jahannama khālidīna fīhā . fabi''sa math'wāl-mutakabbirīna
(To them) will be said: "Enter ye the gates of Hell, to dwell therein: and evil is (this) Abode of the Arrogant!"

They will be told to go through the gates of Hell to stay there forever, and how wretched is the home of the proud.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What happens when someone is rude and proud?"
Watch the Little Muslim Stories video The Rude Boy Who Learned a Lesson. Part of it is enough.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Whose home is called wretched?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can I stay humble?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Az-Zumar is surah 39. Find ayah 72. The key word al-mutakabbirin means the arrogant. Pride is a theme that returns again and again in the Quran. Proud people refused the truth because they thought they were too important. Humility opens hearts; pride closes them and leads to a bad end.
Fact: Which ayah in Surah Ghafir also calls this the evil home of the arrogant?
Ages 5–8: Humble helper. Help someone younger without being asked and without boasting.
Ages 9–12: Pride or humble. Make two columns of proud and humble behaviours.
Finish with: "I found that the ayah is Ghafir ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will help someone without telling anyone."
Action: Help someone without telling anyone.
