Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What will the earth shine with?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Who are the witnesses on that Day?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Az-Zumar is surah 39. Find ayah 69. The key word ashraqat means it shone. On that Day the earth will glow with the light of its Lord. The books of deeds will be opened, prophets and witnesses brought, and everyone judged with complete fairness. No one will be wronged even a tiny bit.

Fact: Which ayah in Surah Al-Anbiya says Allah will set up just scales on the Day of Resurrection?

Ages 5–8: Fair play. Play a game where everyone has an equal turn and talk about Allah's fairness.

Ages 9–12: Iman pillars. List the six pillars of iman and write one sentence about the Last Day.

Finish with: "I found that the ayah is Al-Anbiya ___."

• What does belief in the Last Day mean to you?
