بَلَىٰ قَدْ جَآءَتْكَ ءَايَٰتِى فَكَذَّبْتَ بِهَا وَٱسْتَكْبَرْتَ وَكُنتَ مِنَ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ
Balā qad' jā'at'ka 'āyātī fakadhdhab'ta bihā wa-s'tak'bar'ta wakunta mina l-kāfirīna
"(The reply will be:) 'Nay, but there came to thee my Signs, and thou didst reject them: thou wast Haughty, and became one of those who reject faith!'"

No, My signs did come to you, but you denied them, acted proudly and were among the disbelievers.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What signs of Allah can you see right now?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What three things did the person do?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why does pride stop people from believing?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Az-Zumar is surah 39. Find ayah 59. The key word istakbarta means you were arrogant. The excuses are answered: the signs did come. The problem was pride, not a lack of guidance. Allah's signs are everywhere, in nature, in the Quran and in our own hearts. A humble heart sees them.
Fact: Who was the first to refuse out of pride, according to Surah Al-Baqarah?
Ages 5–8: Sign spotter. Go outside and name five signs of Allah.
Ages 9–12: Pride blocks. Write how pride can block someone from seeing the truth.
Finish with: "I found that it was ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will point out one sign of Allah to my family each day."
Action: Point out one sign of Allah to your family each day.
