Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What is missing from the Quran?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can I read the Quran beautifully?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Az-Zumar is surah 39. Find ayah 28. The key words ghayra dhi iwaj mean without any crookedness. The Quran is straight and clear: no contradictions, no confusion. Reading it with care, using tajweed, helps us honour its words and say them clearly, just as they were revealed.

Fact: Which surah begins by saying Allah sent down the Book and put no crookedness in it?

Ages 5–8: Straight line. Draw a straight line with a ruler and a wobbly one by hand, and talk about the Quran being straight.

Ages 9–12: Tajweed rule. Learn one simple tajweed rule and practise it in a short surah.

Finish with: "I found that the surah is ___."

Talk together:

• What does it mean that the Quran has no crookedness?
• Which name of Allah does this remind you of?
• Why does tajweed matter?
• Which surah do you want to read more beautifully?
• What would you like to ask about this ayah?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will practise reading one short surah slowly and clearly."
