4-I guide
He said: my Lord, then give me time until the Day they are brought back to life.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "If you were given extra time, would you use it for good or bad?"
Watch the Mufti Menk video Simple Steps to Seek Forgiveness.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did Iblis ask Allah for?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why didn't Iblis ask for forgiveness instead?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Sad is surah 38. Find ayah 79. The key word anzirni means give me respite, give me more time. Iblis could have used this moment to ask forgiveness, but he asked for time to cause trouble. Time is a gift. We each have a set amount, and the wise use it for good and for repentance.
Fact: Which surah begins with Allah swearing by time?
Ages 5–8: Time jar. Put marbles in a jar, one for each hour you are awake, and decide what good you will do with some of them.
Ages 9–12: Time audit. Track how you spend one afternoon and circle the time used for good.
Finish with: "I found that the surah is Al-___, number ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will use ten minutes of free time each day for something good."
Action: Use ten minutes of free time each day for something good.
